Hi, I’m Aidan and I’m a Cape Town–based Art Director.

I moved to the Mother City in 2011 to pursue fashion design, but serendipity pulled me into the art department for film and TV commercials in 2014. Since then, I’ve worked across long and short from projects wearing many hats from Buyer to Set Dresser, Leadman, Set Decorator, Property Master, Scenic, before finding my stride as an Art Director.

Aesthetically, I gravitate toward the quirky and unexpected. I love layering texture, colour, and lived in detail to create worlds that enrich a story and give it dimension. For me, the magic is in taking a brief and transforming it into something vibrant, surprising, and alive.

At the core of my process is clear communication and solid structure. I’m a stickler for a good spreadsheet and a rock-solid game plan, because I believe the best creative work happens when the practical side is seamless, freeing space for ideas and imaginative play.
